WeeFoal™ 38 is a urine based test
used to predict the presence of a foal and monitor
pregnancy status.
The WeeFoal™ 38 is only effective
from day 38 - 120 - if your mare is past the 120 day point
then check out the WeeFoal™
120.
Both test are suitable for all
breeds of horses, donkeys and zebras. It is
especially convenient where palpation per rectum or
internal ultrasound scanning is not an option, examples
being minis, smaller mares or wild mares &
unhandleable mares.
These tests use lateral flow technology to analyze a small
sample of maternal urine for the presence of pregnancy
specific steroids secreted by the developing
fetal-placental unit, and thereby aid the diagnosis of
pregnancy status.
